Ceftiofur Sodium

NAXCEL® (ceftiofur sodium) Sterile Powder is an efficacious treatment for foot rot and bovine respiratory disease (BRD). A single dose of NAXCEL every day for three days reduces body temperature and kills pathogens fast. The low-volume dosage, subcutaneous (SC) administration and aqueous formulation of NAXCEL help meet quality assurance guidelines.

• Broad-spectrum treatment: Treats the major causes of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and foot rot.
  
• Zero milk discard (when used according to label directions): Cows stay in the milking string.
• Short pre-slaughter withdrawal: When used according to label directions, you have the confidence of a four-day meat withholding time.
• Multiple-dose treatment options (three to five days)
• Low-volume dose via SC or intramuscular (IM) administration
• Aqueous base for greater syringe ability and virtually no carcass trim
• Dosage is 0.5-1.0 mg/lb. (1-2 mL reconstituted sterile solution per 100-pounds body weight). Treatment should be repeated at 24-hour intervals for a total of three consecutive days. Also may be used on Days 4 and 5 for animals that do not show a satisfactory response (recovery) after the initial three treatments.
