EXCEDE® (ceftiofur crystalline free acid) Sterile Suspension is a ready-to-use, single-dose formulation that provides up to seven days of therapy for treatment and control of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and treatment of bovine foot rot.

Excede is available in a 100mL and 250mL bottle.

EXCEDE® Sterile Suspension is a ready-to-use formulation that contains the crystalline free acid of ceftiofur, which is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including ß-lactamase-producing strains. Like other cephalosporins, ceftiofur is bactericidal, in vitro, resulting from inhibition of cell wall synthesis.

• A unique base-of-ear site of administration with EXCEDE® contributes to better carcass quality. For BRD and foot rot, administer EXCEDE as a single subcutaneous injection in the ear using one of three base-of-ear (BOE) administration methods at a dose of 1.5 mL per 100-pound body weight.
• Rostral direction: Subcutaneous administration of EXCEDE at the BOE directed toward the same eye.
• Ventral direction: Subcutaneous administration of EXCEDE at the BOE directed ventrally toward the base of the ear.
• Opposite eye: Subcutaneous administration of EXCEDE at the BOE directed toward the opposite eye.
