Draxxin KP Injectable Solution

Picture
For cattle producers, Draxxin®KP (tulathromycin and ketoprofen injection) Injectable Solution is a one-shot combination that provides fast-acting control of fever (pyrexia) associated with bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and long-acting, demonstrated, antibacterial activity against the four major BRD pathogens, so cattle make a fast BRD recovery.1,2 This single dose BRD treatment combines the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ketoprofen with the antibiotic tulathromycin, the active ingredient in Draxxin.

Draxxin KP Injectable Solution comes in 50mL, 100mL, 250mL and 500mL bottles.

REQUIRES VETERINARY PRESCRIPTION

Additional Product Information
  • Ketoprofen is a propionic acid derivate and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with antipyretic effects. The principal mechanism of action of tulathromycin against bacteria involves direct inhibition of essential protein biosynthesis. Together, the two ingredients help control fever and treat BRD caused by bacterial pathogens.
  • Fast control of fever caused by bovine respiratory disease (BRD)
  • Long-acting antimicrobial activity against four major pathogens that cause BRD: Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni and Mycoplasma bovis
  • Single-dose combination product to help cattle recover from BRD
  • Draxxin® KP has the same dose size and viscosity as Draxxin®, so you should expect the same year-round syringeability as Draxxin.
  • Dosage:  Inject subcutaneously as a single dose in the neck at a dosage of 2.5 mg tulathromycin and 3 mg ketoprofen/kg (1.1 mL/100 lb.) bodyweight (BW). Do not inject more than 10 mL per injection site. Use this product within 56 days of the first puncture, and puncture a maximum of 20 times. If more than 20 punctures are anticipated, the use of automatic injection equipment or a repeater syringe is recommended. When using a draw-off spike or needle with a bore diameter larger than 16 gauge, discard any product remaining in the vial immediately after use.
